<< BACK

Edd Blakeley

Edd is a growing young composer in soundtrack and multimedia applications. Whilst studing music at the University of Leeds in the UK, he has been active in expanding his portfolio and increasing his experience in ranging styles.

He has composed music for as long as he can remember. By the age of 18 he was running his own recording studio not far from his home town in East Sussex, UK. Here he gained experience in musicianship, recording and producing. Among his clients was none other than nationally renowned Roger Carey, bassist for the legendary jazz pianist/singer-songwriter Liane Carroll (winner of BBC Jazz Award). He has also played live on the electric bass for Brit Award winning Blair MacKichan, who has produced for Will Young and Lilly Allen, and also Russell Field, touring drummer for Midge Ure and Barbara Dickson. Now at university, Edd is working on multiple composition projects with the intent of increasing his portfolio. He is currently working with student projects and open source multimedia applications.

He is also responsible for recording the fabulous music for Jane's (the narrator) recently published traditional dance resource 'Why Dance?' selling so well in Primary Schools right across the UK.
